Meet Wei

COMMUNITY LEADER. CONVENER. DAD. 

Wei Qiao Zhang, 36, can well relate to young people in the city, struggling to raise a family. He is a father of two, lives in East Vancouver with his wife who is pursuing a Law degree at UBC.

Wei immigrated from Mainland China 15 years ago, graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Philosophy and Sociology.

He began his career by working on the edge of Chinatown and the Downtown East Side, in a not-for-profit organization providing employment services to local residents.

Wei is a Constituency Assistant to Don Davies, MP in Vancouver Kingsway. He is also a producer and host of a popular TV talk show in Mandarin and English, broadcasted on three local TV networks. His show aims at building dialogue and assisting Chinese immigrants in their new lives in Canada

Wei is a long time Vision Vancouver member, having previously served on the party's executive.
